MLB PBEcast, module by module
| Module | What it shows | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Scoreboard | Score by inning, inning status | Orientation |
| Field / diamond | Runners on base, outs, defensive alignment | Base-out state — the biggest driver of what the inning produces |
| Live pitch | The current pitch and count | Count leverage: hitters do much better ahead in the count |
| Batter splits | The batter’s split versus the current pitcher’s hand (or season if unknown) | Platoon context — see platoon split |
| Pitcher arsenal | Pitch mix, velocity, CSW% from this game’s pitches | Is the pitcher’s stuff holding up today? |
| Key moments | The game’s biggest plays so far | Context for how the current state arose |
Refresh cadence
The MLB cast refreshes on a short interval rather than per pitch in real time, and the feed itself runs slightly behind the field. Treat it as a near-live research view.
The other casts
- NFL PBEcast Game Center — score, clock, possession, down and distance, timeouts, then box score, leaders and win probability.
- NBACast and WNBACast — possession-by-possession scoring and box scores. Check the product's own note on whose win probability model is displayed.
- PBE Cast (NHL) — score, period, strength and shots.
- Tennis PBEcast — set, game and, where the source covers it, point score and server. See Tennis PBEcast.
- Soccer PBEcast — an event ledger with located shots, not player tracking. See Soccer PBEcast.
Limitations
Live views show state and context; they are not bet signals. A cast showing a hitter's strong split does not mean the next plate appearance is likely to succeed — single plate appearances are overwhelmingly noise.
